Week 1: Shutterbug
(photography and scrapbooking)
Planning a trip this summer? Get ready to
take plenty of pictures and make a scrapbook when you return.
Here are books on how to take pictures, digital photography and
scrapbooking.
Week 2: Doodle Bug (drawing and art)
Summer is the time to explore the right side of your brain.
Here are books, videos and websites on how to draw and paint as well as
stories about artists, young and old. Craft activities include handprint
butterflies and flyswatter paintings.
Week 3: Bugzilla (monster bugs)
Are you a victim of entomophobia (fear of insects)? Face your fears by
learning more about tarantulas, spiders and other creepy crawlies. Enjoy
stories about monster bugs, transmogrified 10 year olds and poisonous
centipedes. Links to websites will introduce you to the world of giant
insects and how to build a monster bug. Don’t forget the movies, Antz
and a Bug’s Life.
